Thomas “Tom” Lloy’s specialty is cultivating value in everything he does. A firefighter for more than 30 years, he rose to the rank of captain in the Newport Beach Fire Department and was named Firefighter of the Year in 1999. Rooted in strong ethics, Tom imbues trust in those he serves, no matter the goal.
After getting involved in property investments, Tom was propelled to become a real estate professional in 2018. He certainly knows the market as he’s lived in Dana Point, California, since 1984. Though Dana Point is a popular destination located halfway between San Diego and the center of Los Angeles, it takes a true local to get the insider scoop on the area’s eclectic culture rich in the arts and maritime fun.
Tom sees similarities in real estate and his role as a firefighter responding to calls: working with people to gather information, assess their needs, and dispatch the right resources to ensure a positive outcome. He knows building construction. And, add to that, thinking on his feet, coolness under pressure, and empathy — all attributes of competence that put clients at ease. At every step, Tom is committed to educating his clients, so they may confidently make the weighty decisions that come with the real estate process.
Off the clock, Tom remains an enthusiastic member of his community by coaching youth sports and participating in various charitable organizations. He enjoys boating, paddleboarding, and biking in his spare time, but his favorite pastime is being with his family — especially his grandchildren.
