The best part of living in Orange County is being close to the most pristine beaches, including my favorite two in Corona Del Mar. I am always in awe of nature and beauty that I see every time I take a walk on the beach. Whenever I’m relaxing on the sand I try to spot a few dolphins and enjoy everything around me. Here are the top Corona Del Mar beaches and hikes that I go to frequently.
Little Corona Beach
The two most popular and accessible beaches in Corona Del Mar are Little Corona and Big Corona. My kids and I love Little Corona since the waves are usually mellow and there aren’t any stairs to climb up after a long day of playing in the water! Since the reefs on both sides of the beach block most of the waves, it’s a great spot for diving and snorkeling. Little Corona also has tons of tide pools that have lots of sea life in them which always keeps the kids entertained!
Big Corona Beach
On the other hand, Big Corona offers better waves for local surfers and skim boarders, and also has volleyball courts. I love getting a group of my family friends together and playing a few games with them during summer! The jetty and cliffs at Big Corona are another attraction since they are so fun to walk on and explore. One of my favorite places to watch the sunset are the rocks on the right side of the beach since they have such a stunning view of the ocean and the boats coming out of Newport Harbor.
Buck Gully Trail
One of my favorite family trail hikes is The Buck Gully Trail, it’s a well-kept trail with great scenery. The trailhead is on Poppy Ave, ½ mile from Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). The trail has mild elevation change so it’s the perfect trail to do with my kids.
After it rains, a stream runs to the side of the trail. My children love crossing the bridges and looking for bunnies and hummingbirds on our hike. From Buck Gully Trail you can connect to Bobcat Trail which is a steeper trail and more intense hike.
One of my favorites places to catch the sunset is Inspiration Point above Big Corona. I love starting out with a walk at the Goldenrod footbridge and then getting in a workout at the stairs off Ocean Blvd, I always end my walk with a stop at Inspiration Point to take in the beauty surrounding me. I truly cherish these moments and feel so grateful to call Orange County home.
Hopefully you get to visit the top Corona Del Mar beaches and hikes!

Whenever I am thinking of where to get a quick bite to eat, have a fine dining experience, or just get some drinks with my friends, Corona Del Mar is one of the first places I think of. I love relaxing enjoying a bite to eat by the beach. Here are a few of Corona Del Mar’s best restaurants!
In the heart of Corona Del Mar, Summer House is one of my favorite restaurants to enjoy a light lunch, especially on a warm Sunday afternoon. Their salmon Caesar salad is so refreshing and pairs perfectly with their skinny margarita.
Rose Bakery Cafe
On the mornings that I’m on the go, one café in Corona Del Mar specifically comes to my mind, Rose Bakery Café. Rose bakery café has the best variety of dishes that range from croissants and pancakes to burritos and omelets. I love to pick up a hot cappuccino to wake me up, and their Lucio burrito that has avocado in it. Nothing beats having such a delicious breakfast even when I’m in a rush.
When I have an evening off to enjoy and spend with my husband, Bandera is our first choice of restaurants to go to. I love the great service that they always provide and their romantic atmosphere. Every time I dine at Bandera I always indulge and finish my meal with the mouth-watering banana cream pie, which has rich caramel and chocolate on it. Bandera is definitely one of Corona Del Mar’s Best Restaurants.
During the week, when I need to run errands in Corona Del Mar with my kids, I always get them a special treat at B. CANDY.
My children love the large selection of ice cream, toys, candy, and cake. Both of my sons are obsessed with their rocky road ice cream and of course, I always sneak a few licks too!
When I’m between appointments in CDM I opt for a healthy choice and grab a smoothie from Sejuiced. Sejuiced is unique in that EVERYTHING is organic and non-GMO, most other juice spots cannot claim this. I also love that the owners are local CDM residents, it’s so important to support our small business owners and shop local!
I hope this gives you some great places to think of next time you’re looking for a bite to eat! Below are some more of my favorite spots:

Like so many people, shopping is one of my favorite things to do when I have a day off. In Corona Del Mar, there are so many little stores and boutiques that line PCH to stop by.
Since I have a passion for staging homes, I am continually looking for new ways to decorate and find pieces that will go perfectly in my clients’ houses. Bliss Home and Design is one of the best places to find décor that will make any house feel like it is right on the sand. I love how so many of their accessories are naturally made from driftwood and shells.
Barclay Butera Interiors is another great boutique to visit since they have the most beautiful furniture and accessories. Their variety of sofas, bedding, lighting, and décor is suitable for any style. I’m absolutely obsessed with their accent pillows since they can add a pop of color or texture to a neutral couch. Every time I visit the store I am so tempted to buy all the pillows on display!
Something I enjoy about being a realtor is helping my clients organize their homes and condense their possessions so that they can get rid of any clutter. Whenever they are looking to have an aesthetic and organized space in their home I refer them to California Closets.
Several of my clients have designed spectacular closets and entertainment centers that are tailor-made to suit each of their lifestyles and budgets using quality materials. I love that the California Closets showroom in Corona Del Mar displays different styles and how each space can be personalized towards each client.
Since the holidays are approaching I’ve been in desperate need of a few new long sleeve tops and jeans. My go-to store for classic clothing pieces in Corona Del Mar is definitely the Laguna Supply. Some of the items in the store are one of a kind and have been found in different parts of the world. One charm I bought for a necklace chain I have, was actually bought at a market in Europe. I almost never walk out of Laguna Supply without a pair of earrings or shoes for myself.
I definitely consider myself lucky living where there are so many places to shop and find my favorite décor for myself and my clients. There are countless stores in Corona Del Mar that would have anything you could ever want. Next time you are in the area, you have to stop by some of these great stores!
