One of the best parts of the holiday season is shopping for my loved ones and enjoying all the festivity that Newport has to offer! Here’s a list of the best shops in Newport Beach, especially during the holidays.
Lido Marina Village
The other weekend I started off my shopping spree with the best creamy hot latte from Honor Coffee at Lido Marina Village. With my tasty drink in my hand, I began looking for presents for some of my friends and a new dress for a Christmas party coming up!
My favorite clothing store in the village is Bailey 44, which has timeless pieces that are perfect for any occasion. I found so many dresses that would transition seamlessly from day to night. Which is perfect when I’m too busy to pick out a new outfit for a date night after work!
Another favorite shop of mine is Planet Blue, where always find the cutest accessories to get my friends for Christmas. I love the dainty necklaces and earrings that they have in the boutique!
Serena & Lily
My favorite home store in Lido is Serena & Lily, I love their fresh California style. The store feels light and breezy, perfect for any coastal home or relaxed vibe. I absolutely adore their pillows, which are perfectly designed to mix and match with a variety of color, texture and size.
Another favorite place of mine for shopping is Fashion Island, an outside mall with views of the ocean and lots of boutiques. I love that there are large department stores such as Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s and also small designer shops like Kate Spade, Joie, Vince and Alice + Olivia.
Every time I go to Fashion Island I always make a stop at Anthropologie. They have everything from Amo denim and suede purses to imported bedding and dresser handles. They also sell Capri Blue candles, which is my favorite candle. I light them all over my house and they have the most amazing scent!

Newport Beach is home to so many fabulous restaurants, it’s hard for me to pick just a few of my favorites to share with you! From brunch to dinner, Newport Beach offers endless possibilities.
Fashion Island is home to some of my favorite dining spots, True Food Kitchen, R+D Kitchen, and Fig & Olive to name a few.
Whenever I’m looking for a healthy option I go to True Food Kitchen, all of their dishes are nutritious and tasty. I always start off with one of their fresh juices, the Hangover RX and Kale Aid are my go-to. I love to share their edamame dumpling appetizer, it is so tasty and a must order. Whether it’s lunch or dinner I usually order the pan seared chicken, I love the broccolini and capers, and it’s also gluten-free.
R+D Kitchen is one of my favorite lunch spots with the girls, especially after a day of shopping. I love starting off with the Dip Duo to share, fresh tortilla chips with guacamole and pimento cheese. I usually order their French Dip Au Jus sandwich, it comes with sliced to order prime rib on a freshly baked French roll, definitely one of the best French dips in OC. If I have room for dessert I always order their carrot cake to share, they use mascarpone cheese instead of frosting, the perfect way to end a meal.
Fig & Olive is one of my favorite places to stop for a light bite when I feel like sharing plates. I absolutely love sharing their Crostini’s; I always get their manchego cheese crostini which is prepared with figs, I also love their beef tartare, truffle & artichoke, marinated shrimp, and smoked salmon. You really can’t go wrong with any of their Crostini’s. I also love sharing their grass fed beef carpaccio appetizer, it is so good. The ambiance inside and out is arguably the best in Fashion Island, from olive trees to fire features and sometimes live music, the restaurant sets the perfect mood.
Lido Marina Village has a few of my favorite restaurants, Malibu Farm and Nobu, just to name a few.
For a date night or girls night out, my mind immediately thinks of going to Nobu. I love sharing their crispy rice with spicy tuna and their wagyu beef tacos. The lobster heart of palm melts is one of my favorite dishes on the menu, it’s so buttery and melts in your mouth. Nobu’s offers the perfect desserts to end a great dinner. After tasting a few I’ve decided that the Yuzu strawberry tart is my go to, it’s not too sweet and I love a more fruity dessert after sushi.
Malibu Farm is a favorite restaurant of mine for brunch and lunch since all of their dishes are made with fresh, organic and local ingredients. I love their menu of smoothies and freshly squeezed juices, I always get the kale-apple juice since it’s not too sweet. For brunch, I normally order the raw brussels sprouts salad, the mustard lemon dressing on it is very light and flavorful. I also like their breakfast burrito paired with their special house-made mango habanero sauce, it’s delicious!

Newport Beach is the perfect place to live since the weather in Southern California is sunny almost all year! The ten miles of coastline in Newport Beach is the best place to enjoy the sun and water. Lots of people love skating and riding their bikes along the boardwalk that has a stunning view of the ocean.
A popular spot in Newport Beach is further south at The Wedge since its known for its massive waves. Even though my kids are too young to go in, they think its so much fun to watch how big some of the swells can get. On the jetty, we also like to watch the boats sail from the harbor into the sea.
When my family isn’t at the beach, we love to take the ferry across from Balboa Island to the Fun Zone on the peninsula. This area is right on the harbor and has some shopping, an arcade, and bungee jumping. There is even a small Ferris wheel that has been running for around 80 years! If you haven’t been on the Ferris wheel, it has a beautiful bird’s eye view of the harbor and all of the boats.
During summer, my ideal evening is spent in front of a bonfire at Newport Beach! Once a month, my friends, family, and I all get together and watch the sunset at the fire pits by the Balboa Pier. Nothing beats eating s’mores and roasting a few hot dogs with the kids!
